Shin touched the field after the U-19 national team drew against North Macedonia

Today the field is not good enough that the players cannot be optimal

Jakarta (threeriversburghblog) – The Indonesian U-19 national coach Shin Tae-yong discussed the field after his squad drew 0-0 against North Macedonia in Croatia on Wednesday (October 14th).

Shin, quoted on the PSSI official website in Jakarta on Thursday, said the quality of the field at the location of the NK Uslok Klis stadium game in Split, Croatia was not good.

“Today the field is not good enough that the players cannot be optimal,” said Shin.

However, the South Korean tactician said his team had worked hard throughout the game.

He said the mental and physical stamina of Primary Arhan and his friends was better than before.

However, there are still many things that need improvement from the U-19 national team, including strength, quality of passes, and the ability to find empty space in opposing defenses.

“We have to fix the existing shortcomings,” said Shin.

In the goalless draw against North Macedonia, the U-19 national team recorded four wins, three draws and three defeats in ten friendly matches that were played during the training camp (TC) in Croatia.

In the next friendly match, the U-19 national team will face Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday (October 20th).

The U-19 national team has been in Croatia since the end of August 2020.

The U-19 national team TC is preparing for the U-19 Asian Cup, which is to take place in Uzbekistan in early 2021.

After the U-19 Asian Cup, the U-19 national team is expected to take part in the 2021 U-20 World Cup, which will take place in Indonesia from May 20 to June 12, 2021.
