Jakarta (threeriversburghblog) – Antoine Griezmann said Didier Deschamps knew exactly where to play after the Barcelona attacker played a key role in France’s win over Croatia.
Griezmann scored an outstanding goal in the eighth minute, his third international goal in 2020, when Les Bleus won 2-1 in Zagreb.
The player’s statement is a hint for Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman, who has not played the player in his best position so far.

The former Atletico Madrid player found himself in a central position behind strikers Anthony Martial and Kylian Mbappe, who scored the winning goal after Nikola Vlasic equalized.
Despite his impressive form for France, Griezmann has not yet found his best form under the new Barcelona manager.
The 29-year-old player is often placed on the right wing, Griezmann still failing or creating opportunities in his three La Liga appearances for the 2020-2021 season.
However, he forgot about Barca problems when he helped his country win the UEFA Nations League game on Thursday.
“The coach knows where to take me,” said Griezmann of Deschamps in an interview with TF1 that Goal quoted on Thursday.
“I took advantage of this situation from this place out of the trust of the coach and my team-mates.”
“It was a difficult game, not too nice to look at, not too nice to play, on a difficult pitch. We know how to play in these circumstances. The most important thing is to win and to show that we are strong.”

The French victory brought them level on points with the leader of group A3, Portugal. The two countries drew 0-0 on Sunday last week.
“It’s difficult for everyone. We know that we will work hard,” Deschamps told TF1.
“We did the right thing in the second half. This team always has character. Just because you won the title (World Cup) in 2018 doesn’t mean you win with a snap of your finger.”
“If we don’t score against Portugal, it’s also because they are good. We played great opponents today, even if we played well at the start of the game,” concluded Deschamp.
